My breastfeeding journey began in 2018 with my son who I breastfed until the age of 3 1/2 years old. My son taught me the remarkable bond that nursing creates between a mother and her baby, and through extended breastfeeding I witnessed the long-lasting emotional support that bond created between us.

 

Having such an incredible experience breastfeeding my first child, I did not anticipate the challenges I endured breastfeeding my second child. We battled latch concerns in the first few weeks, and then we discovered she had a tongue tie. My daughter self-weaned at 18 months old, and though our breastfeeding journey was much shorter than my son's, we were able to foster an equally strong, unbreakable bond.

Through both of my breastfeeding journeys, I developed a strong passion for the incredible impacts of a mother's milk. My body's ability to nourish my children despite many challenges fueled my desire to help other breastfeeding mothers.

In March of 2023, I received my Certified Lactation Counselor license. The requirements of my certification ensures I am well-equipped to provide evidence-based lactation support and guidance. With my extensive training on breast anatomy, breastmilk composition, and the physiology of breastmilk production, I am confident I can assist mothers in achieving their breastfeeding goals.
